I source all the singing bowls and accessories from one of the original families of bowl artisans in Nepal. The sacred tradition of making singing bowls has been in their family for more than 600 years.
I was fortunate enough to visit and meet the team behind the art at the bowl factory in Nepal. The men that work for the family are all family/extended family themselves. They are looked after incredibly well all whilst working in good conditions. There is a distinct feeling of mutual respect for each other and their family heritage which is beautiful to witness. I got to see each stage of the bowl making process from mineral dust to glowing golden bowls. It was absolutely fascinating.
Knowing this is a personal family-run, age-old, sacred tradition that is being kept alive is quite special and of course, the connection, love and respect they have for each other is being infused in their work. The bowls.
